Edeliza Mainit

Missionary Coordinator

Edeliza is married to Gabriel Mainit Jr. for 24 years and has 3 children(Gizel, Jueliza, & Joshua). 

She graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Psychology. She enjoys mission trips to her native home in the Philippines, S. Korea, Europe, or anywhere else God brings her to “GO!”

Her Life verse is Galatians 2:20, “ I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Fun fact:  She loves hiking, traveling, “glamping”, finding new places to eat out to, and is always ready for new things to discover.

Xinna is a fun loving girl from Vancouver, Canada. After meeting her husband, the Lord led her to move to LA to pursue God together.

Xinna has worked in commercial real estate until a fateful dinner with John and Pam Burton at a friend's house. Immediately she answered the call to volunteer for Good News Club and the rest is history.

Xinna is active in her home church, Alhambra Christian Fellowship, helping with Zoom meetings, creating fun Sunday School materials, and helping the older saints with any errands.

Fun fact: Xinna's favorite hymn is "O to be Like Thee".

John became a born-again Christian after much personal turmoil. He recognized, through the working of the Holy Spirit, that unless he turned from sin he would be separated from God forever. He is eternally grateful to the Lord for his salvation. He is enthusiastic about working for the Lord in practical ways.

Fun fact: He followed his wife throughout her life before they ever knew each other.

Pam Burton

Pam has lived in Southern California for most of her life. She graduated from CSULA with the intent of becoming an elementary school teacher. She is married to John Burton and together they have six grown children and five grandchildren. She has been helping in the Good News Club for the past 13 years. She is grateful that the Lord saved her. 

Fun fact: Growing up she strongly considered becoming a nun.

John Santiago

John was born in Brooklyn, NY, but moved to La Puente, CA, when he was 10 years old.  He received Jesus as his Savior in 1979, while in the Air Force.  Since then, he was primarily served in Children’s Ministries.  He drove for MTA for 25 years.  He is married to Pamie, and they have 2 adult sons.  They love teaching Good News Clubs together. 

Fun fact: John knows of the locations of most iconic Los Angeles Landmarks due to His MTA career.

Pamie is a native born Angeleno and “church girl”  Receiving Jesus at age 5, she has a passion for Children’s Ministries and the importance of reaching children for Jesus.  She worked as a Special Education Aide from 1995, until her retirement in 2019.  She, and husband, John will be married for 40 years in September.  They have enjoyed serving in various Children’s Ministries positions for over 30 years. 

Fun fact: Pamie performed in the Princess Cruise show, “Voice of the Ocean.”

Melissa Medrano

Melissa Medrano

Melissa grew up in East Los Angeles and La Puente. She received Christ as her Savior at age 7 and in her twenties, the Lord called her to make a life-long committment to serve Him in Children's Ministries. She received a degree in Psychology at Biola University and completed the elementary school teaching credential program at CalState Fullerton. She has enjoyed supporting classroom teachers by working as their substitute teacher for 13 years. She has directed the summer children's program at her church for about 20 years and now devotes most of her time to serving in CEF Ministries, especially Good News Clubs. 

Fun fact: Melissa very much enjoys serving God's kids alongside her mom Bea, who is a retired nurse.
