Big Idea: Jesus died for your sin because God loves
you.

Scripture: Mark 10:13-16; Luke 15:1-2; Matthew 27:30—28:6; Luke 24:1-12, 36-53

Memory Verse: Romans 5:8 ESV “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Teaching Objective: The unsaved child will understand that Jesus died for his sin because God loves him and respond by trusting Jesus as his Savior.

Emphasis for Saved: Never forget God loves you!

This Bible Lesson is a simple Gospel illusion that helps
children understand how Jesus revealed God's love for them. Unfold a cross shaped visual to reveal scenes from the life of Jesus as you teach the children how God demonstrated His perfect love through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son. Then surprise the children when you refold the cross visual, place it in the tomb and later retrieve it to unfold a new scene that reveals the climax of the story—Jesus is alive!
