Sample Email To School Principal
**This sample email is best sent in March / April before the current school year ends. The intent is to let the current Principal know that GNC intends to return next school year.**
Dear Principal / Office Manager,
My name is [Team Leade'rs Name] and I am the Team Leader for Good News Club at [ School Name]. I'm writing to you today in hope to start the communication regarding our request to [a room(s)] for a Good News Club next school year.
Prior to Summer vacation, we begin planning for next year’s after-school Good News Club program at your school. We intend to submit our Use of Facility Request Application Form for the 2023-2024 school year as soon as the school district allows.
As you are aware our after-school Good News Club is once a weekly 1.5-2 hours program on [the short day or the day your club is usually held], we’d need about 1/2 hour time for set-up and another 1/2 hour for clean-up, ie. an acutual club time of [2:30pm-4:00pm] means a [2:00-4:30PM] when requesting for the use of facility.
That being said, we have a Easter Party Club planned on [Date/Time]. We'd love to have you and the admin staff join us if you could be made available. This will be a great opportunity for you to see how much the students and our volunteers appreciate the platform that you've provided each week.
Enclosed are some additional information that I'd like to share with you on what other principals say about having Good News Club in their schools, and 10 reasons why schools want a Good news Club on campus. For your reference, 2001 US Supreme Court Ruling on Good News Club vs. Mildred Elementary School.
The parents of the students will know that we are non-affiliated after school program with the school district and we are a credible organization that is global and have been around for 86 years.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Sincerely,
[Team Leader's Name & Contact Info]
