Give Thanks

#November Newsletter

Dear San Gabriel Valley Friends and Family,

As Thanksgiving Holiday approaches, we look forward to the season of giving thanks and count the myriad of ways in which God blesses us.

In today's self-indulgent culture, indifference and lack of appreciation is very common. But as Christians, we are made to be the "salt of the earth" (Matthew 5:13). Knowing what Jesus has done for us on the cross, we are inclined to thank Him - the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). This is a life of persistent gratitude.

By His grace, 110 team members willingly and joyfully give their time in this year's after-school ministry. Because of this great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, in the month of October, 312 children heard the gospel, and 54 of which received Jesus as Savior for the first time. May the Lord continue to show His grace so we may all enter into the joy of our Master.

Furthermore, we cannot find enough words to say thank you to those who generously give towards the Mission Possible Project. The Bible says, "for where your treasurer is, there your heart will be also." At CEF® San Gabriel Valley, our greatest treasure is Jesus. We put our time, money, resources and talent on pursuits that advances the kingdom of God and give God the glory.

Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork." God is glorious, and does all things that His glory might be displayed and treasured above all else.

Soli Deo Gloria (To the glory of God alone)!

Yours for all the children,

CEF®San Gabriel Valley Chapter
